Utah's Credit Unions are Bowling for Kids

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 300 people are expected to take part in a bowl-a-thon on Thursday, February 8, which will raise an estimated $15,000 for Primary Children's Medical Center, and benefit ailing children who visit the hospital.

This 7th Annual Bowl-a-thon, sponsored by Utah's credit unions, looks to show that credit unions are more than just financial institutions, but that they are proud sponsors of the Children's Miracle Network.

This event will begin at 1 a.m. and continue throughout the day to 5 p.m. Credit union staff, volunteers and members plan to bowl more than 1,500 games at Olympus Hills Bowl, located at 4015 S. Wasatch Blvd.  Each team will have six bowlers and pledge $150 to the event.  Individuals will bowl for one to two hours with a pledge of $25.

Utah's Credit Unions for Kids(R) supports the Children's Miracle Network throughout the year.  Anyone who would like to contribute to this event without bowling is welcome; the only requirements are a love for children and a desire to help their well-being.
